White MacBookOne nice thing Apple has been doing lately is releasing updates to their line of products quietly but often. We see another example of this today with a shiny new white MacBook. The new notebook will still feature the old firewire 400 port but has received some nice updates. The news specs include:

    - Processsor speed bumped from 2.0 GHz to 2.13 GHz.
    - RAM speed bumped from 667 MHz to 800 MHz.
    - Hard drive capacity increased from 120 GB to 160 GB. You can now also equip your machine with a 500 GB drive straight from apple.

There also is  a subtle mention of a battery life bump from 4.5 hours to 5 hours. While Apple’s battery claims have been more or less exaggerated, a bump in battery life is never something to scoff at.

As always the Best Macs team will help aid you in finding the perfect computer for you, and if a new macbook is what the doctor ordered [Dr Dave? :) ] then we will be happy to support that decision.

    • And it’s the least expensive laptop in Apple’s line at $999 brand new. Compared with the “unibody” Macbook at $300 more, the specs on this white MB match up pretty good. Yes, it’s “last year’s technology” (as SJ might say) but it’s a proven model and we’ve installed a bunch of them over the past couple years.
